Karachi experiences the Coldest Morning of this Winter

During the ongoing winter season, Karachi records the coldest morning on Sunday, Jan 15. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the minimum temperature recorded was 6°C in the metropolis.

However, weather analyst Jawad Memon said that the temperature in the city's northern areas was 4.5 degrees. The Jinnah Terminal was the coldest area in Karachi with a temperature of 4.3 degrees.

At the PAF Faisal base, the temperature was recorded at 8.5°C, and 7.5°C at the Masroor base. 

According to the PMD forecast, The weather is expected to remain cold and dry for the next couple of days. Sindh is currently experiencing chilly weather because of the westerly system that entered Sindh via Balochistan.

The temperature may drop between 5 and 7 °C in Karachi and 1 to 3 °C in Jacobabad, Larkana, Shikarpur, Dadu, Qambar Shahdadkot, Kashmore, and Tharparkar districts.

Before this coldest morning in Karachi, the metropolis recorded its coldest night in the last 10 years when the temperature dropped to 5.6°C on Dec 31, 2020.
